Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Turn Me Down could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Diamant Brut, Turn Me Down, Assure Destruction, Votre Richesse, Sioux Fighter, Dolly Dagger, Mirage D'atlantique, Prince Giant. A bird flew just in front of Toro Di Palermo who started to galop and lost 40 m.




Turn Me Down looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Sioux Fighter couldn't come out from behind the leader, Diamant Brut.
