It had been raining for several days at Hankasalmi but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Tempting Sugar tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Headstorm that came steaming ahead.

Tripping Top quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Columbus was disturbed and galoped 40 m. Singing Starshine started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Tripping Top was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

With only a little left of the race Tempting Sugar galoped for 10 m. Monsieur Apfelstrudel was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Tripping Top never caught up with Monsieur Apfelstrudel who won. Geniessen Die Fahrt came third.
