Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Stifling Bouquet could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Canasta Cherry sprinted to the front.




Miss Ireland sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Miss Ireland followed by Canasta Cherry and Stifling Bouquet. Lane two Running Giggle followed by Tailwind and Sad Pearl.




Running Giggle suddenly took over the lead.



Running Giggle kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Running Giggle was disturbed and galopped for 30 m.




Stifling Bouquet sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
