The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Oviken this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Hogan Boy took the lead after a very quick start.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Arabesque took the lead after 1000m. Hogan Boy didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Arabesque today. It continued in the lead. Walking Fall galloped way to long and was disqualified.



Arabesque sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Hogan Boy sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
