Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Kalmar track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Smiling Galaxy could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Ludde Bunter, Waving Trap, Portable Angel, Big Miracle, Rolling Necklace, Focused Ship, Strider, Smiling Galaxy.




Rolling Necklace sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Rolling Necklace was still in the lead after 1500m. Big Miracle started to gallop after 1500m and Ulf Ohlsson had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



With only a little left of the race Rolling Necklace galoped for 40 m. Smiling Galaxy speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Strider galop. Strider lost 20 m.




No-one could catch Smiling Galaxy today who won before Ludde Bunter and Focused Ship.
