One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Shining California could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Declaring The Word looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Shining California couldn't come out from behind the leader, Flickering Sunray.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Stifling Trap galop. Stifling Trap lost 40 m.




Shining California kept the speed the whole finish and won before Flickering Sunray and Stunning Sunflower.
