It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Barolo Thistle sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




Swedish Fighter was in fine shape and held the lead. Deutsche Svensson was disturbed and galoped 10 m.




Barolo Thistle looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Blackbird couldn't come out from behind the leader, Swedish Fighter.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Deutsche Svensson galop. Deutsche Svensson lost 40 m.




Blackbird didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
