Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Beach Babe found a gap and took the lead. Shining Bouquet followed before Lady D'avindechy.




This is the positions after 500m. Five Of Hearts, Shining Bouquet, Lady D'avindechy, Superstitious Satisfaction, Return Me, Beach Babe, Stunning Pony, Queen Of Meadows. Beach Babe was disturbed and galoped 40 m. Stunning Pony was disturbed and galoped 30 m.




Shining Bouquet sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Five Of Hearts galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Shining Bouquet followed by Stunning Pony and Five Of Hearts. Lane two Lady D'avindechy followed by Beach Babe and Return Me.



With only a little left of the race Queen Of Meadows galoped for 20 m. driver couldn't keep Superstitious Satisfaction to trotting so they were disqualified. Shining Bouquet were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Shining Bouquet didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
