The sun was shining on Åby and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Dark Destiny found a gap and took the lead. S:t Petersburg Miracle followed before Doom. Per Berg Thomsen wanted a little to much in the start and Leonardo galoped for 40 m. Better Then Best was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

Fagerviks Birdie quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Better Then Best galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Fagerviks Birdie clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Doom looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Doom kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

S:t Petersburg Miracle sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
