One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Von Schmeganhausen took the lead after a very quick start. Happy Dream was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.




Glory Story quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Happy Dream sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Eikemin galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Happy Dream followed by Von Schmeganhausen and Hyperspeed. Lane two Aim High followed by Riverfront and Pollyanna. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Glory Story gallopped for 30 m.




Happy Dream didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Happy Dream kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Von Schmeganhausen won. Aim High came in second. Riverfront caught third place.
