Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Färjestad track was in top-condition.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Slingshot.
Master of Time ended up behind the leader.
L'argent Comptant got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Les Tranche showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and
Master of Time sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of
Better Look Down who started to galop and lost 40 m.
Fighting
Movement was disturbed and galoped 30 m.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
Prince Captain looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.
Prince Captain kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.
Prince Captain kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Better Look Down was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.
Prince Captain kept the speed the whole finish and won before
Slingshot and
Juvelen Madame.
