One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Grande Scopare could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Pick Me First quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 40 m.

Grande Scopare sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Grande Scopare today. It continued in the lead.

Grande Scopare kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.

Grande Scopare looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Pick Me First won. Alberta Star came in second. Grande Scopare caught third place.
