The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Mariehamn this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Ide Roy found a gap and took the lead. Oggio Giro followed before Gendarme. Zizou De Suite was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Gendarme sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Out Of Here galoped after 1000m and lost 20 m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Gendarme today. It continued in the lead.



Gendarme looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Gendarme kept the speed the whole finish and won before Ide Roy and Oggio Giro.
