The weather had been good all week and Kalmar was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Opal De Landemer sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




Polished Energy saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Rolling Necklace sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Rolling Necklace today. It continued in the lead.




Rolling Necklace kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Opal De Landemer gallopped 50 m after 2000m.



Rolling Necklace was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Rolling Necklace looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.
