The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Kalmar today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Waving Gold could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Stige, Macho Crown, Waving Gold, Swedish Fighter, General Stereo, Lucky Witch, Well Known, Wicklow.




Macho Crown sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Wicklow galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




Stige accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Swedish Fighter gallopped for 40 m.



With only a little left of the race Well Known galoped for 20 m. Macho Crown litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Torbjörn Jansson tried a little too much on the homestretch and General Stereo started to galopp and lost 10 m.




Waving Gold won. Swedish Fighter came in second. Stige caught third place.
