One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Unit could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Perfect Galaxy started to galop and lost 30 m. When the startcar left the field Twist And Shout started to galop and lost 40 m.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Perfect Galaxy never caught up with Unit who won. Twist And Shout came third.
