One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Bar Fighter could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 40 m.

Iceman On Fire started to gallop after 1500m and Jorma Kontio had to struggle to get it back in trotting.
Iceman On Fire galloped way to long and was disqualified.
Diamond Future kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Iceman On Fire galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.

Bar Fighter came in second.
