One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Le Taureau could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

This is the positions after 500m. Strikes At Midnight, Sweat In Bullet, Myrsloken, Le Taureau, Soumi Sisu, Shining With You, Engel Larockma, Speechless. A bird flew just in front of Rindis Hurricane who started to galop and lost 30 m. Speechless started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Strikes At Midnight was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Åke Lindblom tried a little too much on the homestretch and Blue Moon Warrior started to galopp and lost 40 m.

Le Taureau didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
