One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Lieutenant Momentum sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Tricky Sunray started to galop and lost 20 m.




Lieutenant Momentum was in fine shape and held the lead.




Curtis looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Lying Ruby couldn't come out from behind the leader, Lieutenant Momentum. Hot Confessions galloped for 60m and was disqualified.
