The weather had been good all week and Hankasalmi was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Slow Work could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Relaxing Bullet quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Bye Bye Beautiful who started to galop and lost 50 m. The Unforgiven galloped for 60m and was disqualified.

Colt King Cobra took the lead after 1000m. Slow Work didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. The Unforgiven galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Colt King Cobra followed by Mirabelle and Juholts Mustasch. Lane two Slow Work followed by Erbo Pride and Relaxing Bullet.

Colt King Cobra sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Erbo Pride sprinted over the finishline before Slow Work and Colt King Cobra.
