One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Maharajah found a gap and took the lead. Prince Gallant followed before Happy Missile. Falling Peach showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.




Maharajah was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.




Maharajah was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Maharajah was disturbed and galoped 40 m. Prince Gallant galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Maharajah followed by Stretching Twister and Loving Cookie. Lane two Happy Missile followed by Prince Gallant and Falling Peach. Falling Peach started to gallop after 1500m and Mauri Jaara had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Maharajah sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Happy Missile won the race after a spectacular finish.
