The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Mikkeli this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Funny Grey Rat. Running On Clouds ended up behind the leader. Cours Du Dollar got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Cours Du Dollar sprinted to the front.

Le Piratage sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Criminal Deal suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.

Waving Lilac saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Le Piratage started to gallop after 1500m and Mauri Jaara had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

With only a little left of the race Funny Grey Rat galoped for 10 m. Waving Lilac looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Funny Grey Rat won the race after a spectacular finish.
