One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sliding Comet could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Dreamlight, Shooting Bear, Must Be Kidding, Sliding Comet, Teddy Tek, Comfortable Action, Lone Thrasher, Cute Apple.




Dreamlight clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Shooting Bear showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Dreamlight followed by Sliding Comet and Lone Thrasher. Lane two Must Be Kidding followed by Comfortable Action and Teddy Tek. Cute Apple showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.



Dreamlight kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Comfortable Action won the race after a spectacular finish.
