One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sir Sirius could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Unknown showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping. Flickering Star was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified. John Byström wanted a little to much in the start and Volatility galoped for 40 m.

Exploding Pirate quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Ragazzo took the lead after 1000m. Exploding Pirate didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Sir Sirius accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Winter Eve started to gallop after 1500m and Bengt-Erik Olsson had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Stopping Nova speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

I Need Ice never caught up with Stopping Nova who won. Exploding Pirate came third.
