The sun was shining on Åmål today. A perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sudden Grove found a gap and took the lead. Stellung followed before Cours Du Dollar.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Cavalier Rapide started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Sudden Grove was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sudden Grove followed by Mayday Mayday and Cours Du Dollar. Lane two Couronne followed by Stellung and Market Maker.




Sudden Grove kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.




There was a new leader after 2500m, Stellung.



Stellung sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Looking Forward showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Stellung didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
