The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Jarlsberg this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Stepping Grove took the lead after a very quick start.




Stepping Grove was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 10 m. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 10 m. Goofy Wave was disturbed and galoped 50 m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Papillon Embrasser showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Stepping Grove today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Unknown gallopped for 30 m. Unknown started to gallop after 1500m and Unknown had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Unknown was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Stepping Grove galloped way to long and was disqualified. Goofy Wave speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Goofy Wave sprinted over the finishline before Quick Wave and Counterfeit Winter.
