One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Excellent Ex. Viva La France ended up behind the leader. Xmas Ytre got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 20 m. This is the positions after 500m. Honourable Factory, Look Away, Rugged Star, Fly Machine, Holy Maid, Fakir, Excellent Ex, Dreaming Pressure.

Rugged Star looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Xmas Ytre couldn't come out from behind the leader, Honourable Factory. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 30 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Honourable Factory followed by Rugged Star and Fakir. Lane two Xmas Ytre followed by Viva La France and Excellent Ex.

With only a little left of the race Watching You galoped for 40 m. Xmas Ytre was first on the homestretch followed by Viva La France and Honourable Factory.

Viva La France sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
