It had been raining for several days at Boden but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Dancing Sensation.
Bananarama ended up behind the leader.
Corton got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Golden Striker started to galop and lost 40 m. When the startcar left the field Five Foot Six started to galop and lost 40 m.
This is the positions after 500m.
Bad Lady,
Dancing Sensation,
Bananarama,
Corton,
Golden Striker,
Bimbo,
Jaded,
Five Foot Six. A bird flew just in front of
Cool Breeze who started to galop and lost 40 m.
Corton took the lead after 1000m.
Dancing Sensation didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Standings after 1500m . Lane one
Corton followed by
Cool Breeze and
Bad Lady. Lane two
Dancing Sensation followed by
Bimbo and
Golden Striker.
With only a little left of the race
Dream Warrior galoped for 40 m.
Corton looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.
Golden Striker galopped for 50 m on the homestretch.
Cool Breeze won.
Dancing Sensation came in second.
Corton caught third place.
