It had been raining for several days at Suonenjoki but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

The players just had time to make their last bets before the start. All horses seemed to be in good shape this day.

Running Cruiser found a gap and took the lead. Iron Athlete followed before Holy Pearl.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Running Cruiser followed by Popcorn Charlie and Holy Pearl. Lane two Solid Mountain followed by Iron Athlete and Trembling Breeze. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Unknown gallopped for 40 m.

Unknown was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Solid Mountain was first on the homestretch followed by Running Cruiser and Popcorn Charlie.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Kansas City galop. Kansas City lost 50 m.

Iron Athlete won. Holy Pearl came in second. Popcorn Charlie caught third place.
