One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Climbing Strategy found a gap and took the lead. Shadowless Sword followed before Acrophobia. When the startcar left the field Acrophobia started to galop and lost 30 m. Charles Degiorgio wanted a little to much in the start and Lieutenant Factory galoped for 20 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Paint It Black, Miz Moonfire, Close Strategy, Lieutenant Factory, New Varenne, Shadowless Sword, Climbing Strategy, Mr Junior. Stopping Bomb started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Paint It Black clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Paint It Black was still in the lead after 1500m.

Acrophobia showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Paint It Black kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Shadowless Sword sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
