One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Honourable Stereo could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Moonlight Sunflower quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Moonlight Sunflower was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 20 m. Unknown suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Moonlight Sunflower followed by Arrowtown and Big Puma. Lane two Tax Payer followed by Honourable Stereo and Rugged Paradigm. Unknown galloped for 10 m.



Moonlight Sunflower looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Big Puma galop. Big Puma lost 50 m.




Winner of todays race was Moonlight Sunflower. Tax Payer came in second. Honourable Stereo became third.
