Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Follonica Dei Pini track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were The Champion. Front Arraow ended up behind the leader. Pancake got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Heavenly Feeling suddenly started to galop. Jean-Michel Bazire had to struggle to get Heavenly Feeling to tror again and succeded after 10 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Fagerviks Hagmyren Express, Holy Maid, Climbing Steel, Pain Redefined, Pansy Flower, Heavenly Feeling, Pancake, Rosa Sei Rosso.

Pain Redefined took the lead after 1000m. Pansy Flower didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Fagerviks Hagmyren Express suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 40 m.

Climbing Steel looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Engel was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Climbing Steel kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Climbing Steel kept the speed the whole finish and won before Front Arraow and Rosa Sei Rosso.
