One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Diamond Space found a gap and took the lead. Tiny And Tender followed before Dramatic. driver couldn't keep Unknown to trotting so they were disqualified. Strictly Dressed galloped way to long and was disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Golden Empire, Diamond Space, Tiny And Tender, Will Last Forever, Sugar, Doom, Explosive Ride, Happy Doll.

The leader got disturbed by something and Diamond Space took the lead rather easily. Will Last Forever suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.

Diamond Space was still in the lead after 1500m.

Diamond Space were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Jorma Kontio tried a little too much on the homestretch and Strictly Dressed started to galopp and lost 10 m. Strictly Dressed was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Golden Empire galop. Golden Empire lost 20 m. driver couldn't keep Tiny And Tender to trotting so they were disqualified.

Happy Doll never caught up with Diamond Space who won. Will Last Forever came third.
