Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Kalmar track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Poussée Et Foi. Better Sit Down ended up behind the leader. Real Top got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.




This is the positions after 500m. Real Top, Tripping Red, Unknown, Fast Attacker, Sleepy News, Ultime Sifflet, Better Sit Down, Diamond Gallant. Real Top started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
