The weather had been good all week and Bollnäs was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Whatever Tropic took the lead after a very quick start.




This is the positions after 500m. Sunny Afternoon, Makes It Funny, Tricky Queen, Heavenly Rocket, Elegant Pony, Ville De Lumière, Étoile De Mer, Whatever Tropic. Tricky Queen started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Acca started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Sunny Afternoon was still in the lead after 1500m.




Makes It Funny suddenly took over the lead.



With only a little left of the race Tricky Queen galoped for 50 m. With only a little left of the race Whatever Tropic galoped for 50 m. With only a little left of the race Peu Miracle galoped for 20 m. Makes It Funny looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep Sunny Afternoon to trotting so they were disqualified. Étoile De Mer galopped for 20 m on the homestretch.




Heavenly Rocket won the race after a spectacular finish.
