The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åby this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Playing Garden. Girafe En Feu ended up behind the leader. Shooting Sword got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Playing Garden suddenly started to galop. Jörgen Sjunnesson had to struggle to get Playing Garden to tror again and succeded after 20 m. Girafe En Feu suddenly started to galop. Stefan Söderkvist had to struggle to get Girafe En Feu to tror again and succeded after 10 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Girafe En Feu sprinted to the front.

Playing Garden looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Hunting Lust couldn't come out from behind the leader, Girafe En Feu. Hawaiian Dancer showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Girafe En Feu followed by Playing Garden and L'arc Triumphe. Lane two Hunting Lust followed by Shooting Sword and Remember My Name.

Girafe En Feu sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Shooting Sword galopped for 40 m on the homestretch.

No-one could catch Girafe En Feu today who won before Hunting Lust and Playing Garden.
