One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Fountain Of Speed could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Fair Sky, Conversation Piece, Intelligent Tiger, Under The Moon, Hey Joe, Fountain Of Speed, Quick Bomb, Solid Comet. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 50 m. Dart started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Conversation Piece took the lead after 1000m. Solid Comet didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

With only a little left of the race Nellore galoped for 0 m. Conversation Piece took the lead after 1000m. Quick Bomb didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Ulf Ohlsson tried a little too much on the homestretch and Nellore started to galopp and lost 50 m. driver couldn't keep Nellore to trotting so they were disqualified. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Nellore galop. Nellore lost 40 m.

Conversation Piece kept the speed the whole finish and won before Dart and Quick Bomb.
