One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sonne Brilliant could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Châtaigne was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 50 m.




Arc-de-triomphe took the lead after 1000m. Châtaigne didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Unknown galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Arc-de-triomphe today. It continued in the lead. Unknown galloped for 50 m.




Arc-de-triomphe didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Arc-de-triomphe were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Châtaigne won the race after a spectacular finish.
