One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Det Dynamit. Giresse ended up behind the leader. Heavenly Lady got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Special Gina started to galop and lost 10 m.

Heavenly Lady was in fine shape and held the lead. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Giresse looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Heavenly Lady couldn't come out from behind the leader, Det Dynamit. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 20 m. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.

Det Dynamit was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Heavenly Lady gallopped for 40 m.

With only a little left of the race Heavenly Lady galoped for 50 m. Heavenly Lady galloped way to long and was disqualified. Det Dynamit kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Lars Erixon tried a little too much on the homestretch and Wolf Raven started to galopp and lost 50 m.

Sporty Spice sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
