The weather had been good all week and Hankasalmi was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Jumping Ship could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Unknown suddenly started to galop. had to struggle to get Unknown to tror again and succeded after 10 m. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 10 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Sombrero Zon, Jumping Ship, Rolling Diary, Bray, Powerful Puma, Nine, , .




Jumping Ship looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Nine couldn't come out from behind the leader, Sombrero Zon.




Sombrero Zon was still in the lead after 1500m.




Sombrero Zon was still in the lead after 2000m.



With only a little left of the race Rolling Diary galoped for 10 m. Sombrero Zon sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Bray was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.




Nine sprinted over the finishline before Rolling Diary and Sombrero Zon.
