One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Express Sound took the lead after a very quick start.

This is the positions after 500m. Go For Europe, Growing Energy, Floating Pony, Berlusconi, Express Sound, Make The Grade, Lieutenant Stereo, Gentleman Behemoth. A bird flew just in front of Floating Pony who started to galop and lost 10 m.

Berlusconi took the lead after 1000m. Lieutenant Stereo didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Floating Pony made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Lieutenant Stereo.
