The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Great Deed. Mon Coeur ended up behind the leader. Night Shiver got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

Night Shiver saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Great Deed sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Great Deed today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Night Shiver gallopped for 10 m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Beast gallopped for 40 m.

With only a little left of the race Odilon galoped for 40 m. Great Deed sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Odilon showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

No-one could catch Great Deed today who won before Windy Breeze and Mon Coeur.
