One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Heavy Printer. Arc-de-triomphe ended up behind the leader. Famous Twister got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 20 m. Shriekback suddenly started to galop. Jörgen Westholm had to struggle to get Shriekback to tror again and succeded after 10 m. Pink Jacket showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping. Jorma Kontio wanted a little to much in the start and Tricky Sunflower galoped for 30 m.

Whiskey Will saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Unknown galloped way to long and was disqualified. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 40 m. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 50 m.

Nine took the lead after 1000m. Whiskey Will didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.

Pointe Du Croisic took the lead after 1000m. Famous Twister didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Arc-de-triomphe won. Stolen Fawlty came in second. Nine caught third place.
