Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Haapajärvi track was in top-condition.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Great Horsetail took the lead after a very quick start. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 30 m. Light
Play was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.
Top Issue was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 40 m. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
Pancake looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Great Horsetail couldn't come out from behind the leader,

Puma. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.

Real Titanium. Unknown started to gallop after 1500m and Unknown had to struggle to get it back in trotting.
Climbing
Puma kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Unknown gallopped 10 m after 2000m.
With only a little left of the race Unknown galoped for 50 m.
Pancake kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Unknown tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Jack Talking started to galopp and lost 10 m.
No-one could catch
