It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Jolly Stardust sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Veijo Heiskanen wanted a little to much in the start and Jolly Stardust galoped for 20 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Sombrero Zon, Because Of You, The Jackal, Confident Paradigm, Backstabbing Love, Merciful, Jolly Stardust, .




The leader got disturbed by something and Sombrero Zon took the lead rather easily.




Sombrero Zon was still in the lead after 1500m.



Sombrero Zon sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

The Jackal galopped for 40 m on the homestretch. driver couldn't keep Merciful to trotting so they were disqualified.




Jolly Stardust won. Backstabbing Love came in second. Sombrero Zon caught third place.
