Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Taste Of Chili. Like To Move ended up behind the leader. Coughing Amazon got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Flickering Winter was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m. This is the positions after 500m. Par Bonheur, Patrac, Mogilny, Flickering Winter, Like To Move, Front Moon, Taste Of Chili, Wam Bam Sam. Mogilny looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Like To Move couldn't come out from behind the leader, Par Bonheur. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Par Bonheur followed by Taste Of Chili and Like To Move. Lane two Wam Bam Sam followed by Mogilny and Patrac. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Coughing Amazon gallopped for 50 m. Par Bonheur didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.
