Only a humble breeze blew over Kalajoki this day. The track where in perfect shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Force Empire found a gap and took the lead.
I´m Cute followed before
Rope-a-dope. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 50 m. wanted a little to much in the start and Unknown galoped for 40 m.
Focused
Work saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 40 m. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 20 m.
The leader got disturbed by something and
Moongirl took the lead rather easily.
I´m Cute looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.
With only a little left of the race
Comfortable
Cruiser galoped for 30 m.
I´m Cute were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
Jukka-Pekka Kauhanen tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Focused
Work started to galopp and lost 50 m.
Force Empire made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before
Rope-a-dope.
