The sun was shining on Åby today. A perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Snowball. Living Shadow ended up behind the leader. Plein Tournage got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m. Growing Play galloped way to long and was disqualified. Gasolin was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Plein Tournage, Hard Boulder, Living Shadow, Speedy Malin, Snowball, Something Magic, The Jackal, Crossing Princess. driver couldn't keep Unknown to trotting so they were disqualified.




Plein Tournage was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Unknown suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.




Plein Tournage was still in the lead after 1500m.



Growing Play was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Plein Tournage kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Growing Play galop. Growing Play lost 50 m.




No-one could catch Plein Tournage today who won before Something Magic and Snowball.
