It had been raining for several days at Mantorp but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Coughing Whirlwind sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Coughing Whirlwind followed by Champagne Punch and . Lane two Acquire Respect followed by Giant Agent and .




Coughing Whirlwind kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



With only a little left of the race Giant Agent galoped for 50 m. With only a little left of the race Giant Agent galoped for 50 m. Coughing Whirlwind looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Giant Agent galop. Giant Agent lost 10 m. Giant Agent galoped for 60m and was disqualified. Acquire Respect was disturbed and galopped for 10 m.




Champagne Punch never caught up with Coughing Whirlwind who won. Giant Agent came third.
