One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Vend-a-face could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Diesel Engine sprinted to the front.

Makes It Funny looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Étendard couldn't come out from behind the leader, Diesel Engine. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Unknown was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. With only a little left of the race Running Rock galoped for 20 m. Hypnotized looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Vend-a-face couldn't come out from behind the leader, Makes It Funny.

Setoguchi was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Setoguchi galop. Setoguchi lost 30 m.

Final standings. 1 Étendard, 2 Hypnotized, 3 Makes It Funny.
